Where is located the INFN National Laboratory of Legnaro?

The INFN National Laboratory of Legnaro (LNL) is located close to the Legnaro town, which is 10 Km from the center of Padova in the south-est direction along the State Road "SS516" from Padova to Chioggia, as described in the map.

Padova is linked by highways with Venice (A4), Milan (A4) and Bologna (A13). If you arrive by highway from Venice or Milan, you have to leave at the exit "Padova Est". If you arrive by highway from Rome or Bologna you have to leave at the exit "Padova Sud". After exiting the highway, follow the indications for the State Road "SS516" direction Padova- Chioggia. After the town of Ponte San Nicolo' you over-pass the highway. The INFN National Laboratory of Legnaro is on the right after the sign indicating the beginning of the Legnaro district.

The LNL address is: Viale dell'Universita' 2, I-35020 Legnaro (Padova), Italy.

You can easily plane your car travel with the driving directions or find the street google maps.

 

 

2) How can I arrive to the INFN National Laboratory of Legnaro?

You can easily reach the city of Padova, and from Padova the INFN National Laboratory of Legnaro (LNL).

 

3) How to reach Padova?

3.a) By Airplane

The nearest airport is the Venice Airport "Marco Polo" at Tessera (Venice), 30 Km east from Padova.

From the Airport there are:

-frequent bus connections to Padova Main Bus Station ("Autostazione") close to the Railway Station by the blue busses of the BUSITALIA Public Transportations. Here is the BUSITALIA time table. The fare is 8.5 Euro;

-private shuttle connections to Padova (Airservice or Landomas). You have to reserve the private shuttle service at least 24 hours before your arrival. Both companies offer the same service: someone will wait for you at the airport with a sign. Then you will be taken to Padova on a small van. The ride lasts approximately 40 minutes.

Cost: about 39 Euro per person to Padova (49 Euro to LNL) since it is a collective service the cost can change according to the total number of people.

-taxi: the cost is approximately 120 Euro for Padova and 130 Euro for LNL.

3.b) By Train

Padova is at the crossroad of the Venice-Milan and Venice-Rome railways: many trains are available. The ride lasts 30 minutes from Venice, 2-3 hours from Milan, and 4-6 hours from Rome according to the kind of train selected. First and second class can be chosen.

3.c) By CAR

Padova is linked by highways with Venice (A4), Milan (A4) and Bologna (A13). If you arrive from Venice you have to leave the highway at the exit "Padova Est". If you arrive from Milano you have to leave the highway at the exit "Padova Ovest". If you arrive from Bologna or Rome you have to leave the highway at the exit "Padova Sud".

 

4) How to reach the INFN National Laboratory of Legnaro from Padova?

4.a) By BUS

There is a regular bus service from Padova to INFN National Laboratory of Legnaro (LNL) by the blue busses of the BUSITALIA Public Transportations.

The fare from Padova to LNL is 2.4 Euro. The buses leave approximately every 20-30 minutes.

You can easily take the bus:

-at the Padova Main Bus Station close to the Railway Station (see "Padova Autostazione" in the BUSITALIA time table);

-close to the University Hospital (see "Padova Ospedale" in the BUSITALIA time table).

There is a bus stop close to the main entrance of the INFN National Laboratory of Legnaro (LNL), viale dell'Universita' 2 (Legnaro): please ask to the bus driver for the bus stop closest to LNL, which is located after Ponte San Nicolo' but before Agripolis.

4.b) By CAR

From Padova take the State Road "SS516" direction Padova-Chioggia. After the town of Ponte San Nicolo' you over-pass the highway. The INFN National Laboratory of Legnaro is on the right after the sign indicating the beginning of the Legnaro district.
